What is the Green Climate Action Carbon Mechanism (GCACM)?

The GCA allows emission-reduction projects in developing countries to earn certified emission reduction (ER) credits, each equivalent to one tonne of CO2. These ERs can be traded and sold, and used by enterprises for carbon neutrality.

The mechanism stimulates sustainable development and emission reductions, while giving enterprises some flexibility in how they meet their emission reduction limitation targets.
