Why we need Green Climate Action?
Climate change is now affecting every country on every continent. It is disrupting national economies and affecting lives, costing people, communities and countries dearly today and even more tomorrow. People are experiencing the significant impacts of climate change, which include changing weather patterns, rising sea level, and more extreme weather events. The greenhouse gas emissions from human activities are driving climate change and continue to rise. They are now at their highest levels in
What is the Green Climate Action Carbon Mechanism (GCACM)?
The GCA allows emission-reduction projects in developing countries to earn certified emission reduction (ER) credits, each equivalent to one tonne of CO2. These ERs can be traded and sold, and used by enterprises for carbon neutrality. The mechanism stimulates sustainable development and emission reductions, while giving enterprises some flexibility in how they meet their emission reduction limitation targets.
What are the GCACM projects’ benefits?
Promote the development of carbon reduction projects in developing countries and provide employment opportunities, and Provide carbon reduction targets for emission companies to help them achieve carbon neutrality, and Provide carbon emission reduction indicators for the climate token platform, thereby improving the transparency and efficiency of the flow of carbon emission reduction indicators.
