Paris Agreement Crediting Mechanism (Article 6.4 Mechanism)

At present, only project types that meet the requirements of Article 6.4 Mechanism can be registered and issued on this platform. Please refer to: https://unfccc.int/process-and-meetings/the-paris-agreement/article-64-mechanism

The project participants register and issue the project on the GCA platform mainly based on Article 6.4 Mechanism Rules and Regulations, including relevant standards, procedures, methodologies, tools, forms, etc. If there are separate regulations published on the GCA platform, they are also formulated based on the relevant documents of Article 6.4 Mechanism.

At present, only emission reductions issued under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) can be converted into emission reductions issued under the GCA platform. Project participants need to fill out the VCS activity transition to GCA mechanism approval form

Green certificate, as a potential project type of GCA Platform, is currently under development with relevant rules
